The fact that Covid-19 leads to an increase in the suicide rate of young adults, especially in females. Mental health is a particularly personal and complex issue and requires the right supports and understanding to progress. The idea is to invite Tokyo Public Health Welfare, UTMF, and Tokyo Metro to launch a partnership and collaborative projects to encourage Tokyo public audiences to take a break from their high pressure and externalized lifestyle and be stimulated by those marathon runner’s spirits, while promoting the UTMF.

The idea was inspired by a news title, highlighting: "The Covid-19 epidemic has been protracted, and many people cannot see the future and are anxious all day long. The year-on-year number of suicides in 2021 will decrease by 0.4%, but the number of female suicides has increased for two consecutive years, and the suicide rate amongst young people is phenomenal.

︎What is Ultra-Trail Mt. Fuji (UTMF)?

The Ultra-Trail Mt. Fuji is an annual ultramarathon sporting event in Yamanashi Prefecture and Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The total distance is 168 km, the cumulative altitude gain is 9,500m, and the time limit is 46 hours. It is one of the Ultra-Trail World Tour. It is a sister sport event to Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc.

︎What is Tokyo Metro?

The Tokyo Metro is a major rapid transit system in Tokyo, Japan, operated by the Tokyo Metro Co. While it is not the only rapid transit system operating in Tokyo, but it represents the highest ridership, among an average daily ridership of 6.84 million passengers. Tokyo Metro is responsible for 9 metro lines, 179 stations, and a total of around 160 km of route.

︎What is The UTMF SEASONS!

The Exhibition is displayed along locations of Tokyo Metro. The design will be spread amongst 9 metro lines. The exhibition will use each line to represent a section of UTMF. The design directive is to apply various colors to differentiate the 9 themes and stations. The different colors will also dictate the tones of the poster and graphics applied to the trains.

The mobile application is designed for the audience to interact with the exhibition. It is part of the exhibition experience. Audiences need to put in some efforts and remain active in order to complete the complete tour of the exhibition while, achieving the goal of externalizing the lifestyle.
